On Thursday the International Exhibition "Peterburgskiy yuvelir 2002" opens in the central exhibition centre Manezh in St.-Petersburg. In 2002 it is devoted to the 300 anniversary of the city.

There will be a jewellers' competition within the frameworks of the exhibition. The jewellers will compete in seven nominations. The winner will obtain the Golden Olimp - a small lion figure made of gold, silver and decorated with rubies.

The seventh International exhibition will finish its work on December 22.
