On Saturday the opening of a new jewellery plant took place in Nurba, Yakutia.

Golden jewelleries with diamonds mined by Yakut mining teams are going to be produced there, at the plant equipped according to the brand new technologies.

According to its director Oleg Stepanov, at the beginning the plant is expected to cut about 500 c of diamonds a month. In 2003 the issue of golden jewelleries is planned to amount to 100 mln roubles, in a year this figures is supposed to increase five times as much.
