In 2002 the precious metals mining companies of Khabarovsk are planning to enhance gold and platinum mining volume by 8,6% up to 19 tons as compared to the last year figures.

In Khabarovsk, platinum is planned to amount to 20% of the total precious metals mining volume in 2002.

In 2003 a gold mining plant is going to be started at the Hakandga deposit, the plant being built by a subsidiary of OJSC "Polymetall" (St.-Petersburg). The capacity of the plant will allow to mine about 4 tons of gold and 80-85 tons of silver a year.
