Valery Braiko, the Chairman of Russia's Gold Miner's Union revealed that the amount of gold extracted in Russia this year will increase by 6,9% and become 153 tons. Such improvement is due to the installation and exploitation of new up-to-date equipment in the major mining areas. According to Mr. Braiko, this year Russian will become world's fourth leading gold producing country after South Africa, United States and Australia.
