Five representatives of "Norilsk Nickel" Company will enter the board of directors of Stillwater Mining Company. The Chairman of the board will remain the director of the American company.

MMC "Norilsk Nickel" and American Stillwater Mining Company have informed about agreement signing on "Norilsk Nickel" buying 51% of Stillwater shares. In 2003 JSC MMC "Norilsk Nickel" plans to fulfil all the conditions of the agreement.

Stillwater Mining Company is situated in Columbus city, Montana State. It is the only palladium and platinum manufacturer in the USA and the largest platinum group metals manufacturer outside South Africa and Russia. Its share in the world platinum group metals market is 6%.
