The Gemmological centre is attached to the National Bank of Byelorussia. It regulates the work of gemstones experts: gemstones examination and assay and introduction of certification norms and methods according to international standards. Experts express the hope that Gemmological centre creation will allow to strengthen the system of the State regulation in the sector and to decrease black turnover of gemstones.
