The experts of MMC "Norilsk Nickel" and its structural company JSC "Polus" determine the possibility of gold deposit Mayskoye exploitation, the deposit being in the eastern part of Chukotka. According to the experts' estimates, the deposit is the largest in the region. The prospected resources of Mayskoye deposit are estimated at not less than 277 tons, and the selling price of the deposit can amount about $230 mln.

Foreign geological companies suppose the cost of the mine to be considerably higher and to be in figures about $500 mln. Besides, Norilsk Company intends to participate in the tender for exploitation of Irkutsk gold deposit "Suhoy Log" with 1200 tons of gold estimated resources.
