There is a crisis in the world palladium market: on November 13, this metal costs $285 per troy ounce that is the lowest price for the last four years.

Russia is the chief palladium supplier on the international market - MMC "Norilsk Nickel" produces 40% of world palladium production. According to the forecast of Johnson Matthey Investment Company, world palladium consumption this year will not exceed 4,8mln ounces that is 28% lower than last year figures. Moreover, Russian will reduce its palladium export by 60% as compared to 2001.
