The Fifth International conference "Russian precious metals and gemstones market: today's situation and future development" has taken place in Moscow. Vladimir Kalitin, the President of JSC "ALROSA" gave a report during plenary meeting of the conference. He emphasised a number of important issues in company's activity. "ALROSA" strives to find more diamond resources and spends $45mln a year for search and exploration of diamond deposits.

"ALROSA" company has also made a request to the government to introduce differentiated rates for diamonds mining. These rates should base upon deposits characteristics, geographic, economic and geologic peculiarities of exploitation.
