NOVEMBER 1 ![]() Russia's treasury and imperial presents
In Copenhagen, Denmark, an international exhibition "Russia's treasury and imperial presents" will take place from October 12 to December 15. The museums of the Moscow Kremlin present about 50 unique memorable exhibits there. The exhibition is the joint project of the Moscow Kremlin Museums and Royal Silver Chamber (Copenhagen). The exhibits are mainly the items that belonged to the members of imperial family, mostly to the empress Maria Fedorovna (1847 - 1928). The favourites of the exhibition are three Easter eggs made by Faberge firm and animalistic composition of Russian semiprecious stones. Visitors pay attention to the works of Danish silversmiths and masters of chinaware of XVIII-XIX from the Armoury collection and platinum jewellery with diamonds and rare coloured pearls from the treasury recently found in Moscow. The catalogue "Russia's treasury and imperial presents. Amalienborg palace" (Copenhagen, 2002) has been issued in Danish, English and Russian by the opening of the exhibition.
