In 2002 gold mining volume in Kemerovo region is estimated to constitute 600 kg that is by 120 kg more than last year figures. This information was obtained from the Head of Resources department of Kemerovo region Sergey Malakhov. The increase in gold mining volume is the result of gold mining plants start to work at full capacity in Mezhdurechensk (South of the region) and Tisul region (North-West).
