Experts consider the capital of Ural still be the city where the chances to find money treasure are high enough. The historical part of the city may turn out to be perspective from this point of view.

In particular, one of the latest cases of treasure find took place in 2000. Workers discovered more than 3 thou pre-revolutionary silver coins during building works. The treasure was redeemed by museum.

There is no special prospecting in the city, more often casual finds occur. In the historical centre of Ekaterinburg there are still some ancient merchant houses, where it is possible, in the opinion of experts, to find treasure hidden during the Revolution.

The cases of money treasures discovered in the region are probably much more numerous, however, state organisations know nothing about it - many lucky people prefer to keep their godsends secret. As a result, many rare coins come to private collections and not to museum funds.
