On October 9 the President of Russian Jewellery Art Association Anatoliy Klimin informed that the copy of the Monomach's Shapka would be sold by auction. Money received will be transferred to children's homes.

Anatoliy Klimin also disproved the information given by some mass media that the copy of Russian Statehood symbol was the present to Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia. The idea of the charitable auction is supposed to be more logic and sensible. The precise copy of the Monomach's Shapka was made by the group of Russian jewellers. It is decorated with emeralds, pearls, rubies and sable fir. Its cost is supposed to constitute about $50 thou.
