Every diamond has its own colour, weight, form, but some diamonds are really unique. Special commission of the Ministry of Finance of Russian Federation decides on the uniqueness of diamonds with weight of more than 50ct or cost of $3000 per ct.

Such gemstones are rare and most large diamonds (more than 50ct) are given names of historical personalities or events. "The President" was named after the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
