At "Gold souk" in Dubai an office is going to open where customers will be able to check jewellery quality, weight and fine in course of only several seconds.

According to "Russkiye Emiraty", Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group was an initiator of this office appearance, and the Department of Economic Development together with the government of Dubai supported this idea.

The general manager of "Damas Jewellers" Company said that this new structure would help Dubai to obtain the reputation of "gold city", to attract tourists, to protect the right of customers and to insure them against fraud and fakes. Besides, it is necessary to overwhelm negative consequences of September 2001 tragedy in the domestic gold and jewellery market.

It is supposed that the owner of a store will have to give buyers certificate with weight, fine, type of jewellery, gemstone characteristics indication.

Such a procedure will be legalised in the other emirates.
