The Head of the Federal Council, Sergey Mironov, visiting Yakutia, announced this fact today. According to his words, it is necessary to distinguish between three deposits categories: deposits of the federal importance, of the regional importance and of the local importance. The authorities responsible for these deposits are federal, regional and local authorities accordingly.

Sergey Mironov stated that diamond-mining regions are not to be closed, at the same time he shared the opinion of the President of Yakutia Vyacheslav Shtyrov that private persons cannot be allowed to the diamond mining. "Only large companies together with the State should operate in this field", - Sergey Mironov emphasized. As for the possibility of the "ALROSA" state shareholding sale, answering this question Sergey Mironov reminded that according to the legislation "ALROSA" is to become an open Joint-Stock Company, but the process of shares disposing must be controlled by the Government.
