An attempt to sell a unique 10-carat black diamond for 60,000 dollars was thwarted in Moscow on Tuesday evening [12th September]
The precious stone was taken out of illegal circulation by officers of the main directorate in charge of combating organized crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Federal Security Service agents, sources within the law and order agencies told RIA Novosti agency.
Two people have been detained in the course of the operation.
