SEPTEMBER 12
The Moscow city court has begun to pronounce the materials of the case involving the US firm Golden ADA's theft of over 180m dollars worth of diamonds and jewellery.
It could take the court about a month and a half to read the case's 140 volumes and approximately the same amount of time to question some 100 witnesses...
Thus, the fates of the four defendants in "the diamond fraud of the century" - Russian businessman and partner in Golden ADA Andrey Kozlenok, former head of the Russian Precious Metals Committee Yevgeniy Bychkov, former head of the financial department in the Russian government Igor Moskovskiy and general director of the Zvezda Urala company Nikolay Fedorov -may not be clear until the new year.
