De Beers Managing Director Gary Ralfe will pay a visit to Moscow on 11th to 12th September to present a new strategy of the transnational corporation on the world diamond market, De Beers Moscow office head Ray Clarke told ITAR-TASS on Wednesday [6th September].
He said Ralfe would hold consultations with the leadership of the major Russian Alrosa diamond company regarding the new strategy and future relations with Russia. According to a trade agreement with De Beers, which expires in December 2001, Alrosa annually sells through the transnational its diamonds worth not less that 550m dollars a year.
