Last Friday was a deadline for submitting the necessary document package in order to exchange shares of OJSC "Norilsk Nickel" to the shares of MMC "Norilsk Nickel". According to the company, over 70 00 out of 170 000 of minoritary shareholders have exchanges their shares.

This procedure is planned to be extended or improved in order for those shareholders that failed to exchange their shares in time, to do so. The new, improved version of exchange scheme, will be presented by the company in September 2001, after the exchange already held will be summarized.
