Norilsk nickel delivered the first 7.5 ton of petroleum products in Khatanga port in the frameworks of northern delivery for Taymir district on 14-15 Aug. The company said in a statement.
For the first time " northern delivery ", for which the subjects of Federation are responsible, is carried out by the local authorities through Norilsk nickel. In spring of this year Norilsk Nickel and Taymir district reached an agreement on delivery of fule for the needs of the subject of Federation with consequent off-sets. The company undertakes search of the fuel suppliers, organization of delivery to Taymir, and also acts as a guarantor of all measures on fuel delivery.
" Northern delivery " to Taymir is carried out by the associated company Norilsk Mining company at the same time with deliveries of petroleum products for own needs. In total the company and the district needs in petroleum products exceed 300 thousand ton, of which 140 thousand tons are already delivered.
