A new factory, Ryabinovaya, that will annually turn out three tonnes of pure gold has been put into operation in Khabarovsk Territory. It took just 18 months to build the factory with the most up-to-date technological equipment in the remote Ayano-Mayskiy District. Tens of thousands of tonnes of building materials and all the equipment were carried there in planes and helicopters.
The new factory was put into operation by the leading gold mining enterprise in Khabarovsk Territory, the Amur joint-stock company, which accounts for up to 40 per cent of the precious metals mined in the Territory. The Amur joint-stock company and other large gold mining enterprises in the Territory have been concentrating on mining gold ore in recent years.
