For the first half of 2002 Yakutian gold mining companies produced 4461 of gold, which is 14 % more than the figures for the same period of 2001
The gold mining season had a good start. This July 47 industrial companies are engaged in gold mining activities on the territory of Yakutia, including state, joint-stock companies and various mining teams of Aldan, Nerugri, and Oimiak, which share 50% of the mined metal, reports "East-Media".
On the whole, 4461 kilograms of gold was produced during the first half of 2002, which is 14 % more, compare to the figures for the same period of 2001. According to the annual plan, 18 tons of gold should be produced this season. Several companies are already overcoming this norm.
