A general meeting of the Supervising Council of JC "ALROSA" was held on July 12th 2002. In accordance with adjustments in Statue Populari of the company, an election of the members of the management of the Supervising Committee was held. Alexey Kudrin, the Minister of Finance and the Vice-Prime Minister was unanimously elected the Chairman of the Council, while the President of Yakutia - Viacheslav Shtyrov was elected his First Deputy, and the Head of ALROSA, A.Kirillin, his Deputy. This was reported by the PR Department of "ALROSA".

The Council decided to create a working group in order to complete Suggestions correction of the company's development plan for 2002-2005. The meeting discussed new conception for realization of rough diamonds on domestic and international markets in terms of liberalization of the diamond market.

The council also reviewed the final results of the main environmental events of 1996-2001 γγ., as well as approved of the candidates to the management team, introduced by the President of the company.
