President Vladimir Putin signs the federal law "On Ratification of agreement between Russian Federation and Belarus on supplies of natural rough diamonds to Belarus in 2001-2005".

The Agreement was signed on May 21st 2001 in Moscow. The Agreement allows for annual supplies of up to 100 000 carats of natural rough diamonds for Belorussian companies for jewellery manufacture of JSC "ALROSA".

The Agreement allows for equal opportunities for all companies, organizations and individual business men of Russia and Belorussia to protect of their rights and lawful interests.
