An Annual meeting of the share-holders of ALROSA took place in the city of Mirny. High profits of this company always attracted attention of the Moscow authoritative and business sctructures. The final financial figures for last year are fairly satisfactory: the company's income came up to $1,9 billion , profits - $670 billion, that is $ 44 million more than planned.. The pure profit of the company came up to $310,8 million. This is despite of unexpected expense of 3,8 billion rubles, related to removal of consequences of a furious flood in Lensk.

The Federal Government recently began to express interest to the company. Its was not by chance that for the first time ever the Vice Prime- minister was elected a member of the Supervising Council. The Chairman contest of the Council also experienced some changes: nowadays, there are six government representatives instead of five. Hence the number of staff representatives had gone down from four to three. Intention of the Federal Authorities to strengthen its position within the company is also reflected in the management structure - all financial, investment and corporate policies are being put under control of the Center.
