Inauguration of the first President of Jewellery Art Academy took place today in the Hall of Chirch Meetings of Christ the Saviour Cathedral.

The ceremony was opened by the Chairman of Jewellery Art Academy Sergei Shkaprov. "There is a man in our country, who is able to raise the glory of goldsmith craft, he is both a talented designer and a successful businessman - Anatoly Klimin.

Representatives of business circles, cultural and social organisations payed their respects to the new president, Andrei Korkunov, Maria Arbatova, Bari Alibasov among them. In particular, Vyachslav Zaitsev said, "This man generate new ideas and positive emotions. He is a highly skilled professional".

During the ceremony Anatoly Klimin awarded special diplomas "For Special Contribution to Development of Jewellery Design" to special correspondents of the newly established academy - Andrei Ananov, Yuri Nazarov and Vyacheslav Zaitsev.

The first work of the academy is to establish a competition of jewellery design "Zolotoe Sozvezdie" (Golden Constellation), which is planned to be held on January 5 through February 28, in 2002.
