Mirny was a venue for ALROSA management meeting on July 1. Surveys in European part of RF was on the agenda of the meeting. According to Press Service of the company the volumes, costs and types of work were checked in their accordance to 5 year plan of the company activities. Main survey is to take place in Arkhangelskaya Oblast. President of ALROSA Company proposed to make a monthly agenda for Terra and ALROSA-Pomorye expeditions which is further to be approved by the management of the company.

Among the issues discussed were results of Judicial Department in 2000, eurobonds emission, preparation for the new heating season.

Critical issue of preparation for drawing up a new trade agreement with De Beers could not be discussed in full - as the draft of the agreement is not worked out yet. President of the company V.Shtyrov informed all the present about the current state of this very important document.

At present there is no directive of the Government for concluding the agreement. Committee on diamond complex headed by A.Kudrin has been formed by Finance Ministry. This body was to make recommendations and amendments to the agreement but arguments in it prevented from working out a single position. The question in discussion is supplying home polishing enterprises with diamond raw. Work group is to clinch all the arguments. Regular meeting of the group is appointed at July 15.

By autumn the management of the company is to get the necessary directive and to start talks with De Beers transnational corporation.
