Jewellers Association of Kyrgyzstan expressed an opinion that the jewellery industry of the Republic requires improvements in taxation as due to high taxes Kyrgyz jewellers do not have an opportunity to develop.

According to AKIpress, now jewellers pay $7 per a gram of gold as a tax. The total amount of the precious metal needed by Kyrgyz jewellers is 500 kg - it is just 2% of Kyrgyz gold mining.
