JUNE 13 ![]() At the end of May 2002 gold currency reserves of Russian Federation grown 7,7%, up to $39,4 billion
At the end May 2002 gold currency reserves of Russian Federation grown by 7,7% ($3 billion), and was provided by the Bank of Russia. Last month the reserved had grown by $5,1% billion. The volume of gold currency reserves in March had grown by $3,5 billion (10%) up to $38,5 billion following the growth of 5,4% the previous month. The sum of international reserves of Russian Federation in gold, decreased by $0,4 billion (9,8%) down to $3,7 billion. Several months earlier those were staying at the same level of $4,1 billion. As a result, during May 2002 the currency share of the reserves had grown from 89,2 to 91,2%. For the period from January to May 2002 the reserves had grown by $5,6 billion (15.3%). Source: AK&M
