JUNE 27, 2001 ![]() Scientists of Non-ferrous Metals Academy, Krasnoyarsk, Received an Award of Advanced Technology Industries Inc. Scientists of Non-ferrous Metals Academy received an award of 950,000 rubles from Advanced Technology Industries Inc. The award was given within the framework of the Exhibition-Seminar "Innovation Technology-2001: Problems and Promices of Science Intensive Industries". The group from Krasnoyarsk presented a report "Promising Methods of Gold and Platinum Extraction from Man-caused Waste Products". According to Victor Nevzorov, one of the organizers of the seminar this paper can be exploited in three ways - by establishing the joint-venture, by sale of the technology and by the sale of the goods while the techology is kept secret. It is more likely that it will be sold to the third party to make up for expences and benefit from it, because foreign investors are reluctant to establish joint enterprises and scientists are reluctant to refuse from some ten thousand dollars.
