President of Russia allowed ALROSA Company to sell unique diamonds at disposal of ALROSA, said Vyacheslav Shtyrov at the conference in Mirny. This diamonds were usually sold via State funds but last two years they were in demand by the State and were stored by the company. ALROSA can trade such diamonds only under the permit of the President of Russia.

ALROSA is allowed to realise diamonds worth $30 mln. Auctions are to be hold in Moscow with presence of foreign representatives. Shtyrov stressed that at any rate ALROSA should have asked permission to sell these diamonds even there have been no need to aid Lensk flood victims. After meeting with administration of the Company at Kremlin Vladimir Putin ordered Ministry of Finance to work out the point of the credit of $70 mln.

The damage of the flood is estimated at 3 bn RUR. It will demand all the strength and resources of the company. President of ALROSA also stated that despite the liquidation the flood after-effects neither of social or economic development programs would be cut.
