MAY 15  Nizhny Novgorod is to become a diamond mining region
Diamond mining is planned to be established in Nizhny Novgorod region . According to " Nizhny Novgorod Telegraph Agency", this was announced by Yuri Senturin, Firs Deputy Governor of the region. According to Mr. Senturin the opportunity of diamond mining was discovered during geological research carried out in the region. In the meantime, Mr. Senturin does not exclude an opportunity of extraction of natural gas in the region. According to the data on January 1st 2001, the potential value of natural resources of Nizhny Novgorod Region sums up to 11,5 billion USD. Source: IA "Finmarket"
