Russia's supplies to global platinum market in 2001 grown by 18%, summing up to 1,3 million ounces. This was reported by the representatives of Johnson Matthey, one of the worlds leading companies dealing with operations with platinum group metals. On Monday 13th of May "Platinum - 2002" report was presented. According to the report, Russia proves to be world's second largest platinum producer after South Africa, and the world's leader in palladium production.
