Mikhail Kasianov, the Prime Minister of Russian Federation ordered to grant to SUE "Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Committee for Precious Metals and Gemstones" a general license for export of diamonds from Russian Federation for 2002 in order to promote further development of diamond industry and establishing appropriate supervision for its export from Russian Federation, carried out by this enterprise, based on the contracts of the Diamond Commission and mining and processing companies registered and functioning in Yakutia.

According to the Government Information Department, all custom procedures for diamond export are carried out at specific custom offices, after completion of the state control procedure.
