President of Russia Vladimir Putin is ready to sign decrees on selling gold and unique diamonds which are in disposal of De Beers in order to help people who suffered from floods in Yakutia. He announced this information on Thursday at the end of meeting in Lensk which was dedicated to emergency measures.

"We are ready to search for different sources of finance, diamond sale is among them, but we are estimate properly the damage done and work out clear and precise scheme for money distribution", said the Head of the state. "I am ready to sign decrees on diamond and gold sale only if there is such a scheme addressed to the certain people who now need it," he stressed.

Proposal on gold and diamond sale as a means to help those who suffered from disaster was firstly made by ALROSA representatives at the meeting. Now this company has unique diamonds which cost $3,000 per carat.
