At an annual general meeting of shareholders of Norilsky Nickel of May 21 9 members were elected to the Director's Board. According to RAO Press Service two independent directors entered the board, these are Vladimir Dolgikh, Chairman of "Krasnoyarskoye Zemliachestvo" and Valery Glazkov, Chairman of Interregional Tradeunion Association.

Yuri Kotliar, first Head Deputy of Norilsky Nickel elected a Chairman of Directors Board. "Rosexpertisa" was appointed an independent auditor for Norilsky Nickel.

"Norilsky Nickel" shareholders approved of activities for 2000, stated annual report, balance, and report on profits and expences for 2000.
