According to RIA Novosti with reference to Department of Home Affairs all the phoney jewellery with 583 alloy were smuggled from China and were sold exclusively to Chinese tourists.

During the operation 200 boxes with falcified labels of Moscow jewellery manufacturer were withdrawn.

While the operation it was disclosed that "retailers" worked separately, having no link among themselves. No one had any documents or licence to trade in Russia. One of the criminals managed to escape other two are now answering the questions of examining magistrate.
