State Customs Committee announced on the opening of the Center for registration of precious metals, gemstones and products with its use, on the territory of OSC "Almazny Mir" (former diamond processing plant "Kristall"). This was reported by the press-service of Customs Committee. Apart from the custom officers, representatives of Russian Assay Office and Russian State Treasury GOKHRAN of the Ministry of Finance will also be involved in the work of the Centre.

As it was noted in Customs Committee, until recently all the procedures regarding import and export of precious metals and gemstones were carries out by several separate institutions, what often caused inconvenience and time loss. From now on, all the customs procedures will be carried out in the Centre.
