N e w s APRIL 24, 2001  On April 25 CBR Issues Coins of 3, 25, 50 and 100 Rubles of "Exploration and Discovering of Siberia, XVI-XVII Centuries" Series Central Bank of the Russian Federation issues coins of geographical series "Exploration and Discovering of Siberia, XVI-XVII Centuries" - 3 and 25 silver rubles (31.1 g and 15.55 g of 900 alloy respectively), and 50 and 100 golden rubles(7.78 g and 15.55 g of 900 alloy respectively), CBR public relations department informed. All the coins are of proof quality. Circulation of 3 ruble silver coins is 5,000 pieces, 25 ruble silver coins is 1,000 pieces, 50 ruble gold coins is 1,500 pieces, 100 ruble gold coins is 1,000 pieces. The coins are round of 39 mm, 60mm, 22.6mm and 30 mm respectively. Bank of Russia stresses that the coins issued are legal tender of the Russian Federation and can be used for payment without any limitation according to its nominal cost.
