ALROSA finances diamond search in Far East
CJSC "Alrosa" is prepared to invest 10 million rubles (about 347 000 USD) in diamond deposit research in Far East. Another 7 million rubles will be offered to ZAID company which has discovered new diamond deposits on the north Far East region, in order to proceed with further research. Finally. Geologists of OJSC "Primorgeofisica", who spent years searching for new diamond deposits in Lesozavodsk region will receive extra 3 million rubles from "Alrosa" company.
An official discoverer of Lesozavodsk deposit is Mr.Satnislav Dmitruk, geologist, working for "Primorgeofisica". However, in order to carry out further research and development there , rather large sum money ,time and patience are needed. Up to now , due to the lack of finances , no significant progress was made. Even the creation of new joint Russian -Australian enterprise "Almazy Primoria" did not bring any changes. Hopefully, that an interest shown by the largest Russian diamond extracting company will make a real difference.
