On Tuesday, 25 of March 2003, during the meeting of the President of Byelorussia Alexander Lukashenko and the head of Amur region administration Leonid Korotkov it was announced that Byelorussia and Amur region (Russian Federation) have every possibility to restore the mutual economic cooperation.

The President Lukashenko emphasised that Byelorussia is interested in Amur region mining industry development. He proposed to provide the region with Byelorussian equipment and to form joint enterprises in different industrial sectors.
