In 1939 the resolution to build a refining plant in Krasnoyarsk was passed. However, the plant building was started in March 1941. On March 23, 1943, the plant was supplied with the first kilograms of platinum and palladium from Norilsk. This date, March 23, 1943, is considered to be the official birthday of the plant.

Today the Gulidov Krasnoyarsk Non-Ferrous Metals Plant is the only Russian enterprise that produces all the precious metals: platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium, osmium, gold and silver from mineral and secondary raw material. Krasnoyarsk plant is the only plant in Russia that uses the technology of complex raw material processing.

In 2000 the plant reached world quality standards and passed the certification for the world standard ISO 9001-94.

Now the Gulidov Krasnoyarsk Non-Ferrous Metals Plant has more than 300 partners from 10 regions. Jewellery made of gold, silver, platinum and palladium is being produced at the plant.
