At the beginning of February the decree of the President on diamonds trade liberalisation came into force. The decree was expected to facilitate gemstones export. However, according to Alexander Novoselov, the general director of "Brillianty ALROSA" ("The diamonds of ALROSA"), the structural subdivision of the diamonds mining company "ALROSA", the decree failed to fulfil this task because it doesn't provide the opportunity to export the diamonds cut at other diamonds cutting enterprises.

"Brillianty ALROSA" ("The diamonds of ALROSA"), the structural subdivision of the diamonds mining company "ALROSA", was founded in 2000 with the purpose to develop cut diamonds sector of the diamonds mining company's activity.
