According to the federal law "On precious metals and gemstones" the Government has approved the regulations about the State fund of precious metals and gemstones of the Russian Federation.

The State fund of Russia consists of the values of Diamond fund of the Russian Federation, of gold reserve of the Russian Federation and other values of the State fund.

The Government of the Russian Federation makes decisions on the State fund supplement with values. The Ministry of finance is responsible for purchasing the values for the State fund supplement.
