Today Russia's diamond monopolist Alrosa, will welcome its new head. Most likely the new post is to be occupied by the company's engineer Vladimir Kalitin. For Russia, as well as for Yakutia this figure appears to be the most compromising.

According to "Izvestia", Government and Kremlin Administration already approved the candidature of Vladimir Kalitin. The official approval will take place on Friday during the meeting of Alrosa Supervision Council. From the Russian Government it is most likely to be done as recommendation to the Council to approve of the candidate.

It is important to mention that the two major shareholders of the company are the Ministry of Property of the Russian Federation and the same ministry in Yakutia, both holding 23% of the shares. Therefore the candidate must be fully approved by both sides.
