Moscow International Jewellery Fair Opened
Moscow International Jewellery Fair will work on March 1-4 in the Expocentr at Krasnaya Presnya.
President of Aurum Association S.A.Shkaprov called it a first spring flower. An honour of red band cutting was given to the State Duma Deputy V.V.Zhirinovsky and the Head of Assay Office A.V.Perevedentsev.
At the press conference that took place before the fair a number of new projects was announced. One of them is a National Association of Jewelry Trade which is to protect interests of wholesalers and retailers. Another one is Bibilot Jewelry Design Competition.
The main event was an display of "Treasury of XXI Century" with the most outstanding pieces by Russian jewellers.
About 25 home producers are participating in the fair. According to the estimations over 5 000 people will visit the fair.
