Gold and currency reserves of the Bank of Russia reached $15 billion. This was reported today by the first deputy chairman of the Bank of Russia Tatiana Paramonova.

On March 10 the volume was $14.3 billion. Thus, over the 10 days of March the volume grew $700 million and by $2.5 billion since the beginning of the year.

Paramonova also said that the Government of Russia has not yet resorted to borrowing from the Bank of Russia to repay the external debt. All payments are made "strictly with the budget money", she said.
