On February 15, 2000 the Central Bank of Russia is issuing into circulation a memorable silver coin 3 rubles worth dedicated to the Europe Soccer Championship (it contains 31.1 gramm of pure precious metal and is of 900 alloy assay). The coin is round-shaped with 39 mm in diameter. The obverse and reverse sides are ornated with an ascending rim. On the obverse side in a circle, framed by a rim, there is a relief image of a double - headed eagle and an inscription "Bank of Russia". Along the edges the coin has other inscriptions divided by dots: one designating the coin's worth - "3 Rubles" and the issue year - "2000". Between them are the metal element name by the Periodic Table of Mendeleev, the alloy assay, the Mint abbreviation "SPMD" and the portion of pure precious metal. The reverse side of the coin contains circled images of two soccer players with a ball near the gates with the map of Europe in the background. The coin sides are grooved. The run of the coin is 5 thousand. The coin is lawful money and is to be accepted to its worth in all kinds of payments without any limitation.
