In accordance with the plan of geological explorations on the territory of the Kirovsk region in 2000, exploration of oil and other minerals will be continued, reports information agency "Russia. Regions". Particularly, oil explorations will be continued at Chiriginskay and Sarjanskaya areas as well as search for clay, rock salt, zeolit ore, peat and other minerals. The program includes finishing of certification of the region monuments and statues and other events connected with the 300th anniversary of mountain and geological services of Russia. The region budget fund for reproduction of mineral and water resources will assign 16.9 million rubles for the program.
